Benijo Beach
Benijo Beach (Playa de Benijo) is one of the most isolated virgin beaches in the North of Tenerife, in the Taganana area.
Although, you have to go down a lot of stairs to reach it, the Benijo Beach is famous for its magical sunsets where the blue of the sea mixes with the red in the horizon and the shape of the volcanic rocks seem to emerge from the bottom of the sea.
The access for this beach is very difficult due to the huge amount of stairs that you need to go down (and then back up). There are no amenities so bring your water and snacks.
This beach is ideal for clothing optional fans and gay lovers.
Plus:
- Black sand
- Clothing optional
- Easy to find parking but distant to the beach
- Close to gay friendly hotels
- Quiet, virgin beach
Minus:
- Mixed/Family beach
- Difficult access with tons of stairs
- Strong waves
