El Médano Beach
El Médano Beach (Playa de El Médano) is a beautiful grey sand beach in the El Médano area, Granadilla de Abona (South of Tenerife).
The area close to the village is more family oriented, has all the services and the waves are not that strong. The area far from the village has strong waves and is ideal for water sports.
El Médano Beach is famous worldwide for it’s international competitions for windsurf or kitesurf like the Kitesurf World Championship.
Gay couples are always spotted on the beach but don’t expect to find an intimate area or cruising spots. Also it is not close to gay venues like gay bars or gay saunas.
